Hennepin County provides information on reducing, reusing and recycling. We operate two drop-off facilities for recyclables and household hazardous waste. In addition, we encourage residents to compost, incorporate sustainable landscaping practices and improve water quality.
Ramsey County provides information on reducing, reusing and recycling materials which might otherwise become waste. We provide both year-round and seasonal household hazardous waste collection sites, and we operate seven yard waste compost sites, four of which accept tree and shrub waste, for residents. We encourage residents to compost, incorporate sustainable landscaping practices and improve water quality.
The Carver County Environmental Services Department is responsible for planning and managing programs designed to protect public health and the environment. These programs include solid and hazardous waste regulation, development of recycling and special waste collection programs, surface and ground water protection, and the investigation of complaints relating to environmental and public health concerns.
